XC2 Recomp: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 statically recompiled into a native Windows game

XC2 Recomp, by jmars125, is a static recompilation of Monolith Soft's Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Nintendo Switch, 2017) into a native Windows x86-64 program, not an emulator. The first release, v0.1.0, landed on Nov 4, with v0.1.1 about 90 minutes later. The README calls it early development, but says New Game, cutscenes and gameplay run on Windows with sound, text and the menu at 60 fps by default, with 30 to 360 in the settings (above 60 is experimental). It supports update 3.0.1 and the Expansion Pass add-on content, any resolution and aspect ratio including ultrawide, and keyboard, mouse and gamepad. It comes from jmars125's XCX Recomp and from TotK Recomp, both on the wire. A setup tool builds the game once from your own files, so the result contains the game and must not be shared. The README says most of the code is written by AI coding agents, and that the maintainer plays every build. Linux and Steam Deck support is planned.

How to play Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on PC

Download XC2-Setup for Windows from the Releases page and unpack it.
Start XC2-Setup.exe, pick your own game files, a language and an install folder, then press Start.
When the build finishes, play xc2.exe from the install folder.
