MEGA MAN X2 GOES NATIVE ON PC WITH WIDESCREEN, NO SNES EMULATOR
Mega Man X2 Recomp: the SNES classic statically recompiled to a native Windows program, v0.2.1 out

mstan's MegaManX2Recomp is a static recompilation of Mega Man X2 (USA) for Windows, built on the creator's snesrecomp framework and sharing the recomp-ui launcher with the other SNES recomps. Per the README it is a playable Windows release: version 0.1.5 completed the widescreen playtest fixes (the rocket ascent, Serges' entrance, the Ostrich arena, Sigma's walls, doors and HUD placement), and checks cover the boss transitions, both Zero-room branches and the ending. v0.2.1, released Oct 30, adds automatic replay diagnostics. It follows the same creator's Mega Man X and Mega Man X4 recomps, already on the wire.
You need: 64-bit Windows and a ROM you dumped from your own Mega Man X2 (USA) cartridge. Nothing ROM-derived is included.
How to play Mega Man X Legacy Collection on PC
