yozander2009-stack's Metroid Dread Recomp is one Windows EXE that sets up and runs a native PC build of your own copy of Metroid Dread 2.1.0. On first start it compiles the game itself, using a bundled GCC, from the ExeFS of your own dump, then runs it on the SwitchRecomp runtime (an ARM64-to-C translator by MZ Labs) with ScarletNX's native Vulkan renderer, DLSS support, a Play and settings screen and an in-game menu on F1. No Nintendo files are in the repo: no game code, RomFS, keys or generated C. The creator stresses it is a work in progress that was shared before it was ready: 0.x builds are early previews and 1.0.0 is the planned first proper release. v0.4.0 (Oct 24) has about 16,800 downloads. Linux and Steam Deck scripts are included.

How to play Metroid Dread on PC

Download the release zip (not the repository) from the creator's GitHub releases page.
On first start, choose the folder holding your own ExeFS and RomFS dump; setup compiles the game.
Press Play; F1 or the Home/Guide button opens the in-game menu. Attach the .log file to any bug report.
