Jeff Aigner's Metroid Prime 4 PC Recomp turns the Switch 1 release of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond into a native Windows program. The game's ARM64 code is lifted to C and compiled for x86-64, with a host runtime standing in for the Switch system and its NVN graphics on Vulkan, so no emulator runs while you play. It's early: the README says it plays from the start through the first area and its first boss, with the title screen, menus, saves, the opening cinematic, sound, controller or keyboard and mouse, and the morph ball. Later areas haven't been played, so expect visual glitches and maybe crashes there, plus a stutter the first time a scene appears. It runs at 60 fps on an RTX 4070, and v0.2.0 (5 November, a day after v0.1.0) adds experimental limits of 90, 120, 144 fps or your monitor's refresh rate at the correct game speed. It's built on the code of valentderah's TotK Recomp, carried over through the creator's own Fire Emblem: Three Houses recomp, and the same developer has just started on the Switch 2 Ocarina of Time remake. No game files are included.

Download the v0.2.0 setup zip from Releases, unpack it and start MP4-Setup.exe.
Pick your own game, 1.1.0 update and keys, then an install folder. It builds the game in about 8 minutes on a fast SSD.
Start mp4.exe; F1 or Esc opens the in-game menu.
