SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY GOES NATIVE ON PC, PLAYABLE START TO FINISH AT UP TO 4K AND 60 FPS
Power Moon Recomp: Super Mario Odyssey recompiled into a native PC game, v0.2.1 out

Power Moon Recomp is an unofficial native PC port of Super Mario Odyssey. The game's ARM64 code is translated to C ahead of time and compiled on your PC from your own dump, with the Switch's system services and NVN graphics rebuilt on Vulkan (Metal on Mac), so no emulator runs while you play. The README says the whole game has been played through without problems: every kingdom, the bosses, the 2D and 8-bit sections, the ending and the post-game, at 60 fps on a current desktop PC, with resolution up to 4x 1080p. Windows and Linux are playable; macOS is an early test build. It moved fast after going public this week: v0.2.0 (3 November) added ultrawide and experimental 120 fps frame interpolation, and v0.2.1 (4 November) compiles the game's shaders once before the first start, which took shader compiles during play from 1,461 to 1 in the creator's test. Costume, model, texture, audio, text and level mods work from a Mods tab; code mods don't. The creator says it was built with heavy help from an AI coding agent, directed and tested by a human. This is the release after the work-in-progress first look we covered in October. No game code, assets or fonts are in the download.
You need: Super Mario Odyssey version 1.0.0 (no updates), dumped from your own console as exefs and romfs folders. Windows 10/11 or 64-bit Linux, an AVX2 CPU, a Vulkan 1.3 GPU, 8 GB of RAM (16 recommended) and about 7 GB free. macOS 15 on Apple Silicon is a test build. Windows SmartScreen may warn because the program isn't signed. Download only from the creator's GitLab page: other copies of the project are showing up on GitLab.
