MARIO KART: DOUBLE DASH!! GOES NATIVE ON PC IN A FAN PORT WITH 16-PLAYER ONLINE
Project Tandem: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! as a native PC port, with 2 to 16 player online play

Project Tandem is a native Windows port of the 2003 GameCube kart racer Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, made by static recompilation: setup translates the PowerPC code from your own disc image to C and compiles it on your PC, so there is no emulator. Its headline feature is online play for 2 to 16 players, with private rooms and a public lobby browser, plus Grand Prix, Balloon Battle, Shine Thief and Bob-omb Blast, shared character selection, widescreen, mouse and keyboard menus, controller support and experimental native support for some GameCube USB adapters on Windows. It is an experimental public beta that has shipped several builds a day (beta 7 to beta 9 on 1 November). A separate community Linux build exists, and the README says Windows to Linux online play has not been verified yet. It builds on Ethan Nicholas's mariokartdd-recomp and gcn-recomp, and the downloads contain no disc image or compiled game.
You need: Your own USA GameCube disc image of Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GM4E01, ISO or CISO; other regions and RVZ/GCZ are not supported) and Windows. No game files are included.
How to play Mario Kart: Double Dash!! on PC

- Run Setup-Tandem.cmd, pick your own USA ISO or CISO, and let it verify and compile locally.
- Launch ProjectTandem.exe, then host a private room or join one from the lobby browser.
