ZELDA: ECHOES OF WISDOM IS BEING RECOMPILED FOR PC, MAC AND ANDROID
EoWRecomp: Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (Switch) static recompilation boots its opening on PC
Nycolazs has started a static recompilation of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (Switch, 2024). The game's ARM64 code is translated to C ahead of time, and a runtime replaces the Switch's operating system and graphics API, drawing with Vulkan. It builds on LAS Recomp, the recompilation of Link's Awakening, which Grezzo also developed, and Nycolazs' own Android port of it. Early development only: on Linux the game boots, plays its opening and the first controllable scene; the macOS and Android builds start but haven't run the game yet. An alpha preview went up on 21 October.
You need: Your own Switch dump of Echoes of Wisdom. No game files are included. Not playable through yet: only the opening runs.
