SMM2 Recomp is a static recompilation of Super Mario Maker 2 (Switch v3.0.3). The game's AArch64 code is translated to C ahead of time and compiled for Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS/iPadOS and Android, with a native runtime standing in for the Switch and graphics on Metal or Vulkan. Nothing is emulated at run time. It adds extras the Switch game never had: the 100 Mario Challenge from the first Super Mario Maker, and Course World through a self-hostable open-source course server instead of Nintendo's. The repo opened Oct 19, and v0.3.0 (Oct 21) adds local multiplayer (Play Together with up to four controllers) and fixes editing other people's courses. The downloads hold only a launcher and the recompiler: the game is rebuilt on your own machine from your own dump. It's early, so expect bugs.
