OpenIGI is an open-source, clean-room engine for Innerloop Studios' Project I.G.I.: I'm Going In (2000) and I.G.I. 2: Covert Strike (2003), written in C# on .NET 10. It runs the original games from your own retail install: the game's own scripts run on a rebuilt interpreter over a 30 Hz simulation that reproduces the original's timing, AI perception, weapon tables and mission flow, and a vanilla mode keeps the original picture. Around that sits a modern renderer with HDR, cascaded shadows, real-time global illumination, volumetric fog and hardware ray tracing on capable GPUs, on Direct3D 12, Vulkan or WebGPU, with DLSS and Reflex as an optional download. All 14 missions of the first game are in released builds. I.G.I. 2's 19 missions load and play from source only, the browser version has the first 6 missions with original graphics, and there's no multiplayer. There's also a launcher and a modding kit. v0.6.3 landed on 5 November, a day after v0.6.2. It contains no game assets and none of the original code.
