POSTAL 2 GETS A BRAND NEW ENGINE: RUST REBUILD RUNS THE 2003 GAME FROM YOUR OWN INSTALL

P2Reimplemented, by p2HookedDev, is an open reimplementation of the POSTAL 2 engine in Rust and Bevy. It keeps the game and replaces Unreal Engine 2 and Karma physics under it: a new script VM that runs the game's own compiled UnrealScript, a new renderer and new physics, reading packages, maps, textures, meshes, sounds and animations directly from your install. v0.1.0 for Windows arrived on Nov 3, a day after the repo went up. The README says the game starts and plays but isn't finished, so expect bugs, and that some listed features still await a full check in the game. The stated rule: the shipped game defines what happens, and a known difference is a bug.
You need: Your own copy of POSTAL 2 (Steam or GOG) and Windows x64. No game files are included. In development: expect bugs.
How to play POSTAL 2 on PC
- Download P2Reimplemented-v0.1.0-windows-x64.zip from the releases page and extract it.
- Run it. The launcher finds your POSTAL 2 install, or you pick the folder.
- Start the game.
