SIMCITY 2000 REBUILT IN RUST AND GODOT, WITH CITIES UP TO 4096 TILES A SIDE
OpenSC2K

OpenSC2K is an open-source remake of SimCity 2000 built with Rust and Godot, with v0.3.0 released in October and nightly builds still landing, the latest on Nov 3. The README lists city sizes from the original 128 tiles a side up to 4096, plus a built-in SCURK sprite editor. It doesn't include the original game files, which supply the graphics, text, sound and music: you import them from your own copy, and the importer reads the Windows 95, Windows 3.x, Network Edition, DOS and Macintosh versions, or the demos. Larger cities use a new format the original game can't open. Added as a library pick, not new this week.
You need: Your own copy of SimCity 2000 (installed folder, GOG download, extracted files or mounted CD-ROM). No original game files are included.
