OpenTricky 0.1.4: SSX Tricky native on Windows, first stable release
GiZcesi's OpenTricky is an unofficial PC port of the original Xbox SSX Tricky, made by static recompilation. Version 0.1.4 on Oct 29 is the fifth public build and the first marked stable: evenly paced frames, an HD race HUD, render scale, lightmap smoothing, softer shadows, a PS2-style snow look, fixes for the HUD and Tricky meter at any frame rate, and a launcher that works with every connected controller. It targets Windows 10/11 x64 on Direct3D 11, and runs on Linux and Steam Deck through Proton. It joins two SSX 3 recomps already on the wire, koenhendriks' Xbox one and a PS2-to-Rust one.
You need: Your own disc image (.iso or .xiso) of SSX Tricky for the original Xbox, USA release. Windows 10/11 x64.
How to play SSX Tricky on PC
- Rip your own USA Xbox SSX Tricky disc to .iso or .xiso.
- Download OpenTricky-0.1.4-win64.zip from Releases.
- Run the launcher and select your disc image.
