God of War Native PC by Vnnc1 is an unofficial native Windows port of the original God of War (PS2, NTSC-U SCUS-97399). The game's MIPS code is statically recompiled to C++ by PS2Recomp and compiled on your own machine from your own disc image, with the PS2's graphics, vector units, sound and memory card replaced by native code. It is not an emulator. A launcher checks your PC, downloads the PS2Recomp runtime, identifies your ISO and builds the game with a progress bar, then starts it. It aims for 60 fps, supports recognised fan translations alongside the US disc, and records newly met code while you play so a 'Speed up visited areas' option can compile it. v1.0.0 landed on 25 October and v2.0.0, a test release, followed the same day. The runtime is PS2Recomp as extended by Waffle565, KIexster and the Tobiichi port: KIexster's own God of War recompilation, already on the wire, is source-only. Marked experimental.

How to play God of War on PC

Download gow-native-pc-setup.exe from the Releases page and install it (no administrator rights needed).
In the launcher, choose Install, let it download the PS2Recomp runtime, and point it at your own ISO.
Let it build, then play; use 'Speed up visited areas' later to compile newly visited code.
