GRANDIA III LEAVES THE PS2: NATIVE PC PORT WITH WIDESCREEN AND 60 FPS

Grandia III gets a native Windows port by static recompilation of the PS2 game

Grandia III gets a native Windows port by static recompilation of the PS2 game

GranasSabre's Grandia3-PC is a native Windows version of Grandia III, Game Arts' 2005 PlayStation 2 RPG, made by static recompilation: the game's MIPS code, its sound driver and its VU1 geometry programs are translated ahead of time into C/C++ for x86-64, and a small runtime stands in for the PS2 hardware (Direct3D 11 graphics, sound, DMA, memory cards). Nothing is interpreted at run time. It adds higher resolutions, widescreen, 60 fps and savestates. The program reads your own USA disc images as they are and runs on Windows 10/11 or a Steam Deck through Proton. Version 1.0.1 landed on 26 October and 1.0.3 followed hours later.

Grandia III (PS2) → Windows · Steam Deck · by GranasSabre · 2026-10-27

You need: Your own Grandia III (USA) disc images (disc 1, and disc 2 later in the game). Windows 10/11 with a Direct3D 11.3 GPU, or a Steam Deck with Proton. No game data is included.

How to play Grandia III on PC

  1. Download Grandia3-PC-v1.0.3.zip from the releases page and unzip it into its own folder.
  2. Start Grandia3.exe and choose your own disc 1 image (or name it disc1.iso next to the exe).
  3. Play; disc 2 is asked for when the game needs it.
