ROGUE GALAXY GOES NATIVE ON PC: LEVEL-5'S PS2 SPACE RPG HITS 60 FPS AND WIDESCREEN
Rogue Galaxy (PS2) gets a native Windows static recompilation with 60 fps, widescreen and 8x resolution

victor-takai's Rogue Galaxy Recompiled turns Level-5's 2005 PlayStation 2 action RPG into a native Windows game. It is a static recompilation of the USA release (SCUS-97490), built on ran-j's PS2Recomp, the same toolkit behind other recent PS2 recomps on the wire. The first release, v0.1.0 (Oct 27), adds 60 fps or the original 30, widescreen up to 32:9, up to 8x internal resolution, and an in-game F1 menu for graphics, sound, controls and game options such as camera, field of view, draw distance, instant text, encounter rate, experience, money, drops and shop prices. Nothing of the game is shipped: the installer builds the port on your PC from your own disc image, which takes about 20 minutes to an hour.
You need: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), about 16 GB free, an internet connection for the build tools, and your own disc image of Rogue Galaxy (USA, SCUS-97490). No game files are included.
How to play Rogue Galaxy on PC
- Download RogueGalaxy-<version>.zip from the Releases page (not Source code) and extract it to a short folder such as C:\RogueGalaxy.
- Double-click Install.bat and choose your own disc image; it downloads the build tools and builds the game (20 to 60 minutes).
- Play with Rogue Galaxy.exe and press F1 for the options menu.
